About the Authors Journey

‘Santana’ was a story that was developed from a music video. When I started touring Europe as a music artist I developed four different personalities with four different characters and names which reflected who I was as a creative person. The most aggressive and challenged and troubled one was a character originally called A.D. Samurai, short for Ashley David Samurai.

I made a music video called Mercy with this character and it wasn’t until years later after leaving my time in Hollywood that I wrote the script, developed the story, and turned it into a book. Santana is a story of a troubled man who fights to keep his Demons under control, essentially his shadow self. It isn’t until he’s older he discovers that the route of his shadow is traumas and a spell that was cast upon him by his adoptive mother, The high priestess.

This story has some sensitive themes which are close to my heart but most importantly it’s a story of triumph over evil and a struggle of fighting oneself and how when we do not deal

with our traumas, they can hinder and hurt not just ourselves, but people that are closest to us.
