About the Author’s Journey

16 is a biography of art, life, and poetry. It was at the age of 16 when I truly discovered my artistic talents and found my life purpose through dreams and spiritual encounters I was at this stage the freest vulnerable and open to explore my artistic nature and unfortunately due to my previous imposter syndrome and fear of being labeled as hypersensitive as a young man growing up in south London; love, romance, and poetry are often frowned upon as sissified ventures. It's only now that the world's masculinity and femininity seek a bit more balance, that men in my community have been given a voice to explore energy in a more feminine, emotional way in which we all share both sides of duality. 

It is now 16 years later at the age of 32 that I have recapped my life experiences and my career path, and I revisited the poems and the artwork which I created in my late teens. The ‘16’ book is an exploration of self and an expression of my inner thoughts through the process of art, poetry, and accounts of my life journey thus far.
